The head of Aden International Airport, Tarek Abdo Ali, said the flights will resume next Sunday in both directions, according to our correspondent in Yemen.

The airport manager, in addition to the director of the Yemeni Airways office, Abdullah Saleh al-Shaeri, confirmed the information personally by telephone.

All flights at Aden International Airport have been suspended since 21 February 2016 after a formal decision to close the airport until further notice for security reasons.

 

"The decision to close the airport and suspend the flights was issued by the leadership of the Arab alliance led by Saudi Arabia in Aden," a source at the airport said, adding that the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to counter security threats. .

Yemen Airways then issued a circular suspending its flights to Aden and converting it to Sayoun airport in the eastern province of Hadramout.
